Siedlung Graf Otto von Orlamünde in Himmelkron

Himmelkron is a small town north of Bayreuth in Upper-Franconia (ger.: Oberfranken). It has a population of about 3,500 people. The VCP-group in Himmelkron is named 'Graf Otto von Orlamünde' and was founded on 21st January 2000. Graf Otto von Orlamünde donated the money of which the monastery in Himmelkron was built in 1729.

The scouts and guides in Himmelkron have their weekly meetings in their own rooms which they got from the local parish. The house is generally known as the 'Grampp-Haus'.

Lots of activities and events are organised by the groups. They also participate in camps and courses of the district and were successful at our annuall TECHNIX. Even though they didnīt attend our Whitsun Camp in 2007 they are one of our most important and biggest groups. Himmelkron successfully runs several scout-patrols and cub-packs.
