The Stamm 'Markomannen' in Weiden is one of our oldest groups and with a fine tradition. It is also one of our biggest groups. Weiden is a city located in the far south of our district in Upper Palatinate (ger.: Oberpfalz) and has a population of about 42,000.

The continuous work of our group gurantees a high awareness level in the city. Thatīs why there are lots of activities (Christmas Celebration, Light of Peace), hikes and camps (Easter Camp, Autumnal Camp) throughout the year A. The annual Holiday Camp near Weiden is every now and then a great success because children from Weiden get to know the ways of scouting.

The Stamm also plays an important role in our district. Adult scouts are a great help in activities like our annual Whitsun Camp despite of the great distances to our other groups in the north.

The group is well equipped. In addition to lots of scouting material they have a scout home of their own.
