The Stamm 'Markgraf Georg' in Wüstenselbitz was founded in February 1931 by Reverend Dollinger.
The year before during a hike he told his confirmees about his scouting work.
Meanwhile the group consists of quite a few scouts and guides of all ages and plays an important role in the small village Wüstenselbitz and its surrounding area. The village Wüstenselbitz is located in Upper Franconia (ger.: Oberfranken) in the district of Hof.
There are two main activities that take place in Wüstenselbit every year and are organised by the scouts and guides.
One is the celebration of Midsummer Night with a large bonfire on a hill called Reußenberg near Wüstenselbitz. Lots of visitors from the surrounding area come along to see the fire and to drink some gallons of beer sold by the scouts.
The other event is a feast for the parish when people come together to have a nice afternoon with cake and coffee. Of course all the food and drinks are provided by the scouts and guides.
The group in Wüstenselbitz is an essential part of our district.
